Hey! Been lurking around a bit and posted a couple times but just noticed I'm s'posed to wave the flag. So here it is!
Had a bike license about 15 years and ridden on and off with various bikes that weren't mine. Don't think I've ever actually owned one. Toured around quite big sections of Africa on a bicycle... now it's time to get to the parts other two wheels can't reach...
Been doing a bit of on/off touring lately, and now looking seriously for an X-Challenge - I love the 640 but it shakes too much, and can't reconcile myself to the ugliness of the KLR {oops... duck}. I'd be richer if I wasn't so vain.
My English mate and I are riding dirt/off-road only from Alexander Bay to Kosi Bay through Lesotho in April. He's looking for a cheap-as-chips KLR, by the way.
I guess that's it for now...
