Howdy!
Thanks to Sir Dookie and Welshman off the ADV forums I have found my way here.
My wife and I are inbound to RSA and Swaziland (Pretoria/Mbabane) for a lengthy stay commencing September and very much looking forward to exploring our new home.
I am currently riding a 2007 Honda Shadow Sabre (VT1100C2) and its getting a few sensible mods done prior to shipping. While not remotely an ADV bike its pretty good for 2-up touring on hard roads and generally bulletproof. I may swap over to something like Strom before I leave the USA....but more likely I will keep the Sabre and add something suitable for more "off-piste" once I get in country....has to be 2-up compatible!
In any event...looking forward to the move and hope to get some further info and arrange to meet some like-minded touring folks.
