Well, I bust my etrex vista which cost me a gazillion rand when new - many moons ago.
No probs, went to garmin, was told it can't be repaired, but I can upgrade for R1400 to an etrex 30.
Ok, I'm game for that but all I got was the same GPS with a new name - is it better - NO!
Is it the same - yes!!
The vista was selling for about R1k just before it was discontinued - the price of a new 30?? I don't know but I would never, ever pay full price for one of these.
And my maps won't load after being changed over to the new GPS - the joys of Garmin :thumleft:
Was thinking of buying a 20 awhile back but honestly, if you've got a working etrex of old, don't bother - keep what you've got.
AND my 2 ram mounts are now useless - anyone want 1? - pm to collect ..................................
