I have now done 174 000 Kilos on my 2011 800 GS with the original clutch. It is not slipping and is still good to pop a wheelie every now and again. I have no adjustment left on the cable and will have to replace the clutch very soon.
I do NOT want to buy the kit from BMW.
Is there any local place that might have a kit in stock with the correct 3.5 mm thick plates? Buying from ebay might not work as I do not think that my clutch will last for another 2 or three months
