Oil filler cap tool:
Fed up with my inability to open the cap by hand and not wanting to dig out the pliers or water-pump pliers I made this today from a scrap piece of aluminium rectangular extrusion...
As the piece had a 4mm hole I cut a slot, test fitted and widened slightly using my angle grinder with cut off blade.
Then did some trimming and shaping followed by burr removal and rounding corners.
Then it was off to the bench grinder wire brush for the polishing and cleaning.
Works like a charm!
I will probably carry it in the tank bag on trips.
Come to think of it I could have modded one of the tools in the standard toolkit as well.
The slot must be 6.5mm x 40mm for those that want to try something similar.
The aluminium tube I used was 12x18mm, length is 155mm.
