A bunch of us are planning to go out to Makekeng the second weekend in Feb.
Depart Friday afternoon 7 Feb
The houses sleep around 10 or so and you are welcome to camp and use the communal showers
Food for Friday and Saturday eve will be purchased by Kilroy and transported there on Friday afternoon
A dirt outride (approx. 280km) to the venue starts in Cullinan at 12 noon on Friday the 7th from the Garage on the fourway crossing
Route attached - should take 5 to 6 hours with stops
Not technical at all (mainly open dirt highways) - any big bike including GS'es, 990 and 950KTM's, Triumphs etc.... will be able to do the dirtride
A little sand may be encountered in the Waterberg - nothing an average rider won't be able to handle!
Alternatively you can travel by tar on the Friday via the N1 North towards Potties (Mokopane)
Route attached - should take 2.5 to 3 hours on a bike if you pin it!
What to bring?
One shortpant, one panty, one shirty, one pair of slops
Toiletries and towel
Own booze - May be bought at a dopshop 10k's or so before the venue on the Marken road towards Potties .......or at the local shebeen
Own tents and all that goes with it if camping

Longer and shorter saturday outrides with technical ratings of between 3 and 7/10
