Ya unfortunately OEM tyres on original AT are not very good. [member=8671]Pebbles[/member] had to be rescued by the aforementioned bike shop in PTA after 4 snake bite punctures in less than 1000km on a brand new bike.

Enjoyed the show. Keep them coming..

Ja. OEM tyres are great for tar travelling. Soft and sticky, but not ideal for gravel, at all. But then again... I also had a flat on a Mita front, so... not sure the tyre theory is applicable to all the flats in this story.

Couldnt believe the number of flats you guys had - almost as bad as Steve (aka Mongrel Dog) riding his GS across Australia (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlviHASU3ts&t=5s) - watch the last three episodes of his journey.

So the difference in time taken to change a tube or inserting a plug is food for thought.....At the risk of going off-topic (sorry Hollywood  :peepwall:) is it worthwhile doing a tubeless conversion to an Africa Twin??? (asking for a friend  :-[)

Just watched the new episode.  exhilarating!!

So [member=22711]Hollywood[/member] ...when can we get our hands on some of those lovely Footpeg Diary Tshirts and stickers?

Someone needs to pay for the fuel that you are "racing" on  :pot:

Op die 2018 Quest was daar baie pap wiele. Voor en agter, maar... amper almal het oopgebars op die binneste naat van die heavy duty tubes. Dit was ʼn fabrieksfout.

Dont want this to become a tyre debate, but any big adventure bike with all that weight on a 90/90 front wheel is gonna be an issue. I fixed my problem with Pirelli scorpion tyres and very thick tubes. After that I had minimal punctures.

When is the next video?? There is still so much of SA to see, especially all the good bits that Noraly missed out.

Edit .....I see above
