So my '08 1200GS is running like clockwork with less than 50K on the Clock! Me and my sons went for a nice longweekend 1100km trip up north, Quickly into Botswana. Magic weekend. Longstory short, Stopped at home sunday, offloaded, monday morning when my son wanted to take her to get washed he phones, bike doesn't want to start, but she swings!
OK start Simple. Yes there is spark! Now Google! (I tried on WD here but's confusing!) So couple places said :
1. Check spark : First sidestand switch, then took out plugs : Check
2. Check fuel : without taking out injectors i went straight to FPC : Fuel Pump Controller. Build a quick bypass and she fires up straight away!
Lesson learned! I never came across this issue before, but now know it's a 1200 AC issue. New OEM R3300. but she's fine now.
