I have been getting a front brake switch warning of late , thought it could be dirty brake fluid , , change but did not solve the problem . Hard braking also did not work . When the lever is pulled the brake light lights up , so some confusion. Yesterday i pulled out the switch , yes it just pulls out , and on inspection found that the micro switch would sometimes not make and this is why the error comes up. I sprayed ( soaked ) the switch in Q20 , and did a couple of test engagements , and it seems to be working fins again , not holding thumbs . A new replacement from KTM is around 800 bucks , expensive for a little micro switch . I wonder if any of the other brands they use BREMBO brake could have the same switch and has any one been quoted a price ?
As the switch is so easy to pull out I will keep tabs on it . Regular Q20 spray and hope I can keep the error away .
