Have this itch for an old Goldwing circa 1982, but not seeing any on the market that really stand out as well loved or properly maintained - important considerations for such an old bike. Anyone got one, or can share thoughts on what to look out for?
Other big tourers are the RT's, but i am not a fan of BMW's, their costs of ownership, or of repair if something goes wrong. No point paying the value of a bike in repairs. Most cheap ones are also high km's, as an be expected.
Then there is also the sport tourers like the FJR's, or the adventure tourers like the XTZ 1200. They tend to be relatively expensive though.
What will you get if looking for a oldish, relatively cheap, big, comfortable, long distance tourer?
