Guys and girls, I have had the Garmin Etrax 20 and it served me well back in the day on Gough island in the remote mountains.
It was especially rather special when it helped me to plot the first gps route on the famous ‘Glen to Gough base via Disney ridge’ which was extremely hard to navigate.
Move on a couple of years and Etrax sold simply because I had no use for it and the screen is just to small for navigation with motorbike to my liking.
What should I look at to specifically hike the Drakensburg this coming Dec or Jan?
I would prefer a gps that works on AA batteries and is easy or users friendly for a noob.
Where do I get the famous Drakensberg hiking routes? Listening at the radio
@Sardine maybe you you can chirp in here and share some info if you know what or how?
