Anybody interested in a group ride from Centurion / Pretoria to the Sabie GS weekend 9 - 11 March 2007 ? No specific route or departure time planned yet.
We can take the N4 and pay toll fees (R19 at Diamond Hill plaza, R31 at Middelburg plaza and R46 at Machado plaza :shock: ) or go to Sabie via Lydenburg and at least bypass the Machado plaza. Another alternative is to go via Carolina, Badplaas, Barberton and Nelspruit, but I do not know if the road is in a good/bad condition.
Whichever route we choose, there should be enough time as the event site only open at 14H00 and all riders should be there by 18H00.
I suggest that riders departing from Centurion meet at the BP Garage behind Makro (just off John Vorster drive, opposite the Land Rover dealer) at 10H45 to ride at 11H15/30. Riders from Johannesburg are welcome to join the Centurion group there. Other riders from Pretoria can decide where they want to meet.
Any suggestions where the Centurion and Pretoria groups can get together ?
The idea is not to have as big a group as possible, but rather to have a few riders riding together in case of emergencies or mechanical problems.
