GS1200 weight

I was going through an old thread on advrider on the orange crush side, when a guy who is really technically minded and astute chirped up about the weight of the 1200.

heres his quote with regards to weight................

for what it's worth...
I've weighed both my bikes at the local frieght forwarder...

12gs / spokes / abs / full tank / titanium slip-on exhaust = 536lbs.

HP2 / full tank / titanium slip-on exhaust = 424lbs.

Frigging heck. Thats heavy on the 12GS - 243.6kg as per my calculation. And thats with the cats removed.
