The rear mudguard tends to hook up on the bar of the pannier racks.
Mine broke off twice, both times I saw it just before I lost it
The mudgaurd goes deep in, clips the bar, and on its way down again, that is when it hooks up and brakes off. It normally brakes the long stud off, leaving it to hang on two bolts. When they say bye bye you loose your mudgaurd.
Scrape marks
So what I did, just bolt the bar loose that connects the two side pannier racks, and move it to the outside of the frame. You won't believe how much further it sticks out then. Giving you the clearance you need :thumleft:
Whith the bar on the outside, it will never hook up again. I tried to get it to hook, but nothing!!!
Look at the side view now :thumleft:
