Our favourite Itchy Boots gal arrived in SA last night.
I just bumped into her in Fire It Up ! Bryanston  where she is buying herself an XR.

Those blue eyes are a dead giveaway & I recognised her immediately even with the face mask.

She hasn't worked out a hard & fast itinerary yet & is sort of playing it by ear , Covid permitting.

We had a great 10 minute chat
What a lovely person.
Day = made.

Yes, just like that.

She said she has finally got her Royal Enfield back from wherever she had to leave it but it's in terrible state.
Not too phased as she'd made her mind up not to ride Royal Enfield again.

She said she has fitted a full Rally Raid kit on her little Honda & we wouldn't recognise it now & was surprised that we don't have the CB500X here.

What Honda 125/250L?

I meant her little CB500X that she calls Ronin & went to Iceland on.
She appeared to be buying a  XR650L today, but I could be wrong wasn't paying attention to the bike to be honest.

Bikers and their reaction to any woman on a bike  ::)

Hopefully she doesnt slam the dealership where she gets her bike repaired or the love affair is over  :imaposer:

Never heard of the CB500, had to google it. Looks like the NC750. Not really an adventure bike.....

Quite a, European-mainly I think, following, and loadsa goodies for sale for them...

https://www.rally-raidproducts.co.uk/honda-cb500x-cb500f

Won't make them a "real" adventure bike though I think, a 7/890 or T7 will kick it arse in the off bits, and pricewise (once farkled, RR can't be called cheap!) a better option also... but, Europe's different, loooong liasons on tar inevitable, and then - especially when you got the bike already! - it makes sense for some.

Before I bought my KLR I had forgotten where my Z750 twin had taken me on dirt... and it was not an "Adventure" style bike. Just saying... :sip:
