Afternoon everyone,
Just joined the site, I currently ride a PGO G-Max 220 scooter. I recently got my license (All bikes) and I am therefore hoping to get a new bike soon. Strongly considering a DS bike as I love the outdoors and the idea of being able to go anywhere I please. As I am still new to the scene I am hoping to learn from everyone else before buying my new bike.
I am currently looking at the following:
- BMW G 650 GS
- BMW F 650 GS
- Suzuki DL-650 V-Strom ABS
- Yamaha XT 660Z Ténéré
- Kawasaki KLE650 ABS Versys
Currently most of my riding is general commuting (+-70km/day in traffic), I am however keen to do more touring which would include some adventure riding. Any feedback regarding the above mentioned bikes would be greatly appreciated, be it good or bad. Other things to consider are the fact that longer rides will be done with my gf riding pillion. Budget is around R85k. Thanks in advance.
