Looking for some input from anyone who perhaps attended the recent Rally Raid or lives nearby and has done some riding there recently.
We are up there next week and the information I am able to gather on the condition or level of difficulty for some the the passes is very confusing to say the least. Specifically Katberg, the Bellows and Michells Pass.
For example, we have been advised by our chosen accommodation establishment that the roads are impassible, or only suitable for a 4x4, yet as far as I can tell, the Rally Raid still had these passes listed as suitable for the RR2 riders, which is classed as pillion friendly.
So some proper advice would be much appreciated.
