Honda ST70 - Difference between 3 and 4 wire stator

Hello, Hi, Hi,

I am busy rebuilding the stator of my Dax and ordered the 4 wire stator instead of the 3 from a store in the UK so returns not possible.

Is there a difference in the way the coils are wound? Is it as simple as just not using the additional wire in the loom or am I being an idiot?

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated as this is doing my head in and I want to continue the rebuild and start assembling the engine but not before I have this right.
