VERY VERY subjective Question, I know.
A member here today sed he's going from Pta to Somerset on Sunday.................1400 Km.
Can be done I guess, and obviously HE can do it (kudos to him - seriasly)
But..........let's take a 50/50 "mix" of riding (actually less, lets say 60 gravel, 40 tar):
How far can you go in a Day?
Lets say Day One, you wanna get to that Place, set up camp, and then take it easy from there??
MOST that I have done was about 480 km on the Old XT............cant say I was wasted, but yes, it WAS enough for a day.
Again - I know this is VERY subjective. So..........lets make it 50/50, and lets make the gravel bit OK(ish) gravel, and lets assume you're a very "medium" skilled rider (like I am)
.............I say start up at 8, MANY smoke etc etc stops, work on an average of what?? 75km/hour (mixed riding), you have around what?? max max 10 hours daylight, deduct an hour for setting up camp, another 2 for stops, = 7 hours, about MAX about what, 600 km??
