Are these push feed or controlled feed bolt actions?

Lots of conflicting "specifications" on the interwebs.

Who has one and can confirm exactly?

and so my PRS journey begins......

I bought a Howa M-1500 barrelled action  - 24" Heavy barrel.

Now the licence process starts again ......

Once that is done I need the following..

1 - New Safe  :dousing:
2 - chassis
3 - Scope
4 - Bipod
5 - Silencer / muzzle break

Congrats!

I got myself the Remmington 700 ADL in 6.5 creed, fitted onto a Warrior 4 chassis. Not nearly enough rounds through it yet, still busy with load development, but havent been to the range in a few months. Having a 3 month old son takes up some time again.

Those MDT chassis are really nice......with a really nice price tag to boot.

I will drop it into a Warrior Gen 6 Chassis - I have the same on my .22 and it is really well put together and half the price

My chosen chassis

My chosen Silencer

My Chosen Muzzle Break

I still need to decide if I am going silencer or muzzle break. I will make that decision closer to the time

That's what makes the Howa's amazing. They are value for money.

The guys that are shooting long range, do you all reload for your rifles?

for me that is the intention eventually.

I have already the selected the bullet I want to use. Hornady ELD Match. Once my rifle is built, I will start developing a load around this bullet to get the best / optimal performance from my rifle.

( I will need help with this, but from the research i have done so far this seems to be the "right" way to progress or start)

Depends what your idea of long range is...

If you want to go past 700m I really dont think you will be very successful with factory ammo

I ran 20 rounds of hornady 225gr eldm factory ammo through my 300prc a few weeks ago.
All over the chrony. The ES and SD was really not great. I dont think I will be able to consistently hit a 1MOA plate at a 1000m with that ammo.
And the rifle was built to go out to 1 mile and beyond

I use the ELD-X hunter for hunting. Very stable and consistent.

I am shooting the 178gr -  perfectly flat out to 250m so far.

Shall I rephrase the question then? The guy who shoot rifles, do you reload?
Whether for hunting, long range, just plinking etc.?
