Hi guys,
I'm looking to get a BMW spoked rear wheel for my HP2 Enduro so I can go back to tubeless.
I stupidly sold my almost brand-new BMW spoked wheels including good rubber (8,000km on road mileage only) for Euro 350.
Now THAT was a really crazy price!!!!

And bought Excel wheels (I heard some bad info about the BMW rims being "soft").
The Excel are OK, but I'd like the option to go tubeless.

So my current Excel rear wheel is 18x2.5
The BMW HP2 rear wheel is 17 x 2.5
GS BMW is 17 x 4.0
KTM 990 Adv is 18 x 4.25

So I'm think I might gain by getting a 17 x 4" from a GS.
I think it will fit: I have a pretty wide tire on now: Trail Attack 150/70-18, probably too wide for my 2.5" rim.
But it fits my exhaust, JUST.

Means I could use the same tires as the GS: easier to find than the thinner 2.5"
Better for dual sport I think too.

And I can use my Excel, leave knobbies on, and perhaps use the Turbeliss system to go to tubeless on the Excel wheel too.
They say the 18" insert fits from 1.88-2.15
And the difference from 2.15 to 2.5 is small.
Need to check my Excel rims have a good enough rim lock, but I THINK so.

So any comments?
Thanks,
Alan
