Anger in the heading? Yes. :angry1: I have gotten into the kak habit of loctiting everything that looks like a screw or bolt, on my bike and beyond (bakkie, garage etc.) I am pedantic about losing screws and bolts on a trip. Dunno why. ???  :BangHead:

Problem is, loctite is the reason for 4 failed Rivnuts on my bike. As those of you with rivnut experience will know, it is never an easy fix. Either you tac it to the rest of the frame with a welding machine, or you drill it out an put in a new one (for which you need a R800 Rivnut riviting tool) or you do another fix which I haven learnt yet. ???

So, I will probably end up buying the tool and I will vow never to use the stuff near a rivnut ever again. The proper BMW screw has a small slit down the side with an iddy biddy piece of plastic that locks the bolt or screw in place. I'm gonna go buy 30 of those tomorrow.

BLIKSEM!!!!  :angry4: :angry4:

Any ideas or comments appreciated. :-[
