Well my daughters had all their giggly friends staying over for the weekend and it was time to plan an escape.
Getaway magazine had an article on Witmos Ox wagon camp where the ox wagons are authentic and this sparked my interest for a future geocamp,so I decided to use  Somerset East as a base camp and explore the area. While I was planning my escape Mr. T rocked up to my office for coffee and discovered my plans and promptly volunteered to accompany me. Plans were made and the Saturday morning arrived just in time as on Friday night the girls sounded like a witch’s convention in a fashion show.

Let the photo tour begin.

With a bit of tar riding to avoid the Zuurberg pass (done it to many times now) we saw a sign indicating a dam was getting a face lift and upgrade on the Klein Vis river. We didn’t even know this dam existed so off we went and discovered it is an irrigation dam of decent size with a few fish splashing here and there.

Nice one Drazil, would love to do the route sometime!  :thumleft:

Yes, what a great ride & new places to see & roads to ride.
The weather played with & the braai saterday evening rustig.

Identical feul consumption on identical bikes. That was the
only thing that remained constant.
The trip is a definit do again in the future.  8)
