Alles is daar vir 'n great venue( OK, dis nou geskiedenis)

So gaan die tyd verby en nou en dan herrinner ek hom aan my plan. Nee wag broer.

Thanks. Julle het dit 'n great naweek gemaak. Julle het die "KNACK".

Aan ons borge, Hendri by Gearge Yamaha, Gavin by Helderberg en Pistonpete... thanks julle ouens.

Glad to see such a huge contingent of Yammie-XTs all gathered together  :thumleft:

Although I did notice one "lost lonely little piggy" (slightly morphing into another brand, by the looks of the brand on the tank) wandering aimlessly around the other blue/silver or white machines.
MellowJo:  Your turn was in June at Augrabies dude! (Hope to see you at the next R1150GS Gathering in 2014)  :thumleft:

It's really good to see the WDs holding brand-specific(or even model-specific) events around the country.

Although there seems to be the "healthy banter of brand-bashing" on the forum, we all LIKE TO RIDE  :ricky:

Keep riding - stay upright and keep da Buggz out da Teeff!   :ricky:

OK, OK, here is the story of the XT 1150 ....

I was too busy at work to join the 1150 bash earlier in the year, and so when Archangel asked me to join him and his new in-law family on the XT bash, I agreed but on one condition, I go on the pig !

So we had to make a plan to sneak in with camo, and if the  powers objected, I could look for accomodation in Ladismith .....

Thanks to all who accepted us (me and the pig   :snorting:)  in the WD spirit .....at least Veldtie is also an 1150 rider ... ;D

Ps, I would never consider going to a KTM gatering     :imaposer:

That is actually why we all accepted you. :peepwall:
1150 ous are always welcome and it was good to meet you and all the guys who made it.

Thanks for all the compliments people.

Is there anybody who still needs to clock in?

Very nice . :thumleft:  Stunning venue and looks like the hosts outdid themselves. Looks like everyone had great fun. Thanks Dan for the funny story about the newspapers to ward off the cold .  :imaposer:

Its always beautiful to see photos of similar bikes all standing next to each other ,even if they are Yamaha's

Hou dit so.  :thumleft:

Sjo - a Biiiiiiiig up for Veldbrand and Veldblom - I don't know how you guys did it, but you pulled it off.
You really looked after us well and you can really be proud of the venue you have created there.

It really was amazing (like with the breakfasts) how it was fresh and hot all the time and that we never had to queue long anywhere for anything.

I also am of the opinion that you cannot buy the value you gave us at that price anywhere else. Everything was topnotch at a price that somewhere else would have meant mediocre. You and Veldblom rock. Koedoeskloof will see me and my wife again. For sure.

:thumleft: :thumleft:

Jup - thanks for organizing this. Watty would be proud to see just how much (and with the high standard) you got involved after he nagged you into that 1st eastern cape bash
:)

PistonPete - thanks for having someone available there to look at the bikes. Mine was one of the ones that had a quick 'tighten' over at the 'pit stop'.

XTJoe - thanks once again for carting my 'pakerasie' there and back. Much appreciated. Sorry to hear about your electrical woes, but like I said - your XT is in such a beautiful condition that it won't be wasted to give the 'lectrics' an overhaul. I hope you get it sorted properly, quickly and cheaply.

MelloJo, Archangel, Operator and Briekmerk - thanks for making the road there and back even more memorable. It really was awesome to have you guys on the road with me.

For everyone else - thanks for making this a weekend well enjoyed.

I love it when one commit to something like this (the 'all inclusive expenses and taking the time off to do it) and then coming back and realizing that there wasn't one moment of it that wasn't worth it.

Very happy (albeit at times cold) camper.
