Is a BMW 450 X to much bike for my son

Morning dogs. I need some advise again please. I am very tempted to buy a BMW 450 X for my 13 year old son. He has been riding a Xl 125 with me on dirt roads for about 2 years now, we have done about 3000 Km's this far. Took him to check him out on the bike, his legs reach the ground and he seems quite comfortable on it. Is it to much bike for him to drive with me?
