Just wondering since I've donated so much of the stuff over the years of bike repairs and maintenance. Was a time when I'd religiously strip the blood smeared parts, clean them and hopefully reassemble sans said iffy lube. Now I just give the parts a cursory wipe and slap them together. Can't do any harm right?
Wack an eyebrow open on a cylinder stud and bleed a few hundred mills into the gearbox or slice a thumb open on those new piston rings and smear piston, gudgeon pin and sleeve with a little O+?
Does it matter?
;D
