I need to service my XR650R. I want to take it to somebody that knows thumpers. Cecil has worked on my XR600 years ago. When I phoned him he was too busy too come to the phone, which I accept. But the lady answering the phone was *&$$% up. I can't think of a better word. It sounded as if she had to hurry to go and do her nails. Cecil could not speak to me, she could not speak to me now, and anyway Cecil don't work on your kind of bikes. So I asked if I could email him what I needed to be done. She said yes, she will show it to Cecil and get back with a reply. Guess what, no reply.
I am glad for Cecil that CPR is so busy. But have some courtesy when dealing with customers. Remember our past support.
Either way it is a sorry state of affairs if there is no reliable bike shops left in the Cape Town area, none near Somerset, anyway.
Anyone with advice of who can still tune a thumper?
