I need some advice pls.

Went off road riding the weekend with my 2003 KLr 650. When I commuted to work the next day the bike stalled and didn't want to start.
Took everything off and saw that the spark plug vibrated a bit loose and there was a Sh1t load off grass seeds on top of the the plug. Even seeds on the needle bit of spark plug when I took it out. I replaced the spark plug and bike was running nice until the next afternoon when it suddenly lost compression on higher revs and only was possible to reach about 40 km/h.

Now what. Should I start it and let it idle for a while to see if it clears up or rather take it to a place that can open the engine to inspect?
