When i was riding a DL650 today it was a bit of a strange experience.
Standing next to the bike it was purring away at around 1200 rpm and all sounded good.
Pulling away slowly and changing up quickly was nice and smooth. Getting going in 3rd and starting to accellerate, there was a very pronounced jerking/surging at around 5000rpm. It happened in all gears and at all speeds. Revving past that point improved matters slightly, but not by much.
At 120 on the toll-way i was jerking like Eminem on meth and getting a bit worried about whether the bike was going to konk out on me.
Hopefully not a common DL thing, what could the reason be - Throttle Position Sensor, fuel issue, etc?
