I suggested to SWAMBO that we should go to the Cape Town International Jazz Festival 26th and 27th March ( https://www.capetownjazzfest.com/Festival.aspx ) . I then said that since 1000km on a bike is quite taxing on the arse, that maybe she should fly down to CT and I'll meet her there. I now have my passbook stamped to take a 3 day trip from here to there and 3 days back again (to paraphrase Bilbo Baggins). I have no idea of a route as yet, but I have two ideas in mind:
1. Take the DR and do a 100% dirt route as far as possible.
2. Take the Strom and do a longer route, possibly to the west coast and then south from there.
If anyone wants to join the trip, that would be great, or if nyone has some good route suggestions and stopover points that would be appreciated. I have a place to stay for the first night in Schweizer Reyneke, but after that, no idea.
