Kaoko Saddle Bags

I've got new soft luggage in the form of Black Kaoko Saddle bags (Thanx Runner). I'm coming off the Oxford First time bags. Problem with the Kaoko's is I cant seem to figure out how they(the designers) intended for them to attach to the bike? does anyone have photo's, preferably closeup, that shows how they do it?

And then, I've also got the Bags-Connection medium dry bag. This will sit perpendicular on the back seat, but it also has straps included in the bag, and I also cannot make sense of how to use them?

I will be able to get everything on the bike, the question is just how do others do it?
