Hi all, got one for the KLR people.
When I ride my bike just a bit hard, like go over 5000 Rpm quickly and use the gears to slack down, then my bike has difficulty with getting into first gear. Sometimes when I put my foot down on the lever it will sound and feel as if the gear is engaged, but the bike will pop back into neutral. Not nice when you think you're going to gass it to get away from the cages.
Sometimes the gears will tell me "Grrrr" before going into gear.
Sometimes I have to push down repeatedly to catch first.
Is this my clutch cable going? Does it need tightening? Or is it something more drastic that I should have checked out?
Or should I just not be riding a KLR like this?
Thanks.
