I know it is a long read, but here is my problem:
OK so I did my own 20000km service and all went fine until I checked my shims and saw that they were out of spec, so call to Lecap and bike got appointment for this to be fixed. So on Friday I am on my way there and all of a sudden while on the N1 my KLR just started jerking so bad that later on I was in the yellow lane and rev's would jump up and down rapidly?!
Lecap fixed the shims and said he found some or other problem so it should not do that again, but on the way to work and back home he did it again?!
Lecap said I should drop by(Shot and will still drop by on Friday :thumleft and he will remove the tank valve that could be the problem. While I was riding home yesterday and the bike still jerking away I pulled over and opened the thank to let air in but straight away after pulling off it still kept on jerking. This jerking only happens when the engine is warm and at no particular rev range or speed.
Now can I say that the valve is not the problem and there should be something else like the carb giving the problem?
Advice would be appreciated if anyone else had this problem before as to what it may be!
