KLR Jetting

Morning WD's. Will the knowledgable on the all famous KLR 650 (pre 08) please help. I stay in Sasolburg. When I fit a free flow exhaust, is there any need for jetting. Will the bike run lean. I assume it will run leaner than with the stock exhaust, but would it be lean to the point where I should be concerned or can I run it with the stock jetting. I made a pipe yesterday (a straight free flow, no canister. Yes it is just the pipe and it makes a heng of a noice) to determine if there is any gains before I buy a aftermarket free flow. It does feel like it pulls more freely but it is not mind blowing. Would just not like to burn valves etc from running to lean.
