When I put the KLR on its side stand,as soon as I take my weight of the seat the bike lifts higher, and on uneven ground feels like the bike could tilt over.I am a kortgat as well and when the bike lifts I become to to short to lift my leg over the seat.
I see the BMW Dakar stand is on more of a angle and it makes the the bike lean over more and the seat look lower.
Is there a way to get the KLR side stand to angle more outwards,like bending the bracket that holds the stand onto the frame ,and is it a bad idea to do it or not .Any other ideas to solve my problem to get a leg over >
