a strange question for the learned:

after all the mods and dyno adventures the bike has been running smoothly for 2 - 3 weeks with no additional fiddling.  This am on the way through the security boom,  as I tried to pull of,  she just died.  4 dabs on the starter did nothing.  pushed bike to side,  used some choke,  and all was well.  After taking my kid to school,  and on the way to work,  the same thing happened again.  only 1 dab on started for ignition.  For the rest,  she's felt a little rougher and power feels a little down.

After work,  and on the way now from my mom's place to my own at high revs a bit of spluttering,  but only the last 100m  of the ride.  Hit the reserve switch,  went around the block in the same riding style,  and all was ok.  immediately I thought she was low on gas.  I shook the tank and had a verificatory squizz - full (with lots of fumes - no obvious to sight contamination)

I've read my clymers a couple of times before,  and had another looksee now.  STill nothing is glaring at me.  to me it seems to be fuel system related,  but,  that's a wide dept...  The bike had her last 5k service at my hands (and i say i love her....)  She's still within the 10k for the major service (guestimate - my speedo is dead)...

I'm going now on a blast down the highway to see if  this is possible fuel starvation (theory being a long burst at high revs will test the entire fuel supply system - blocked jets, pipes, contaminated fuel [even though last fill up was 4ways],  daiphragm etc)

Please,  learned and gurus.  Scratch you heads.
