KLR650 Petcock - Urgent advice needed re Locktite

Hi, I'm busy replacing the tank on my KLR and now I need to move the petcock from the old to the new tank. The bolts that keep the petcock in place lie inside the petrol, and this makes me wonder whether I should locktite or not.

Should I locktite or shouldn't I?

Would appreciate advice from those who have replaced their tanks with long range tanks.
