KLR650 sub-frame bolts upgrade

I've heard/read about upgrading the bolts for the sub-frames as well as the foot pegs but didn't give it much thought until I saw what happened to sharkZA last year.

I've since fitted the motech crashbars, which came with new bolts for the foot pegs and upper sub-frame.

Questions: are the motech (longer) bolts better than the originals? And should I replace the lower sub-frame bolts with stronger ones?

I tried a search but I'm IT-dof!
