I bought this old KMX200 a few months ago - after being told it was a KDX 200. I am quite handy with mechanical stuff and have ridden and maintained 2t enduro bikes for a long time. I was keen on a relatively easy first restoration of a KDX but being a KMX has made it more difficult. I believe it is somewhere between 1989 and 1993 model and I do have a service manual.

So my questions to this learned bunch are:
1. Should I take the time and try and restore it back to a proper KMX (even though they are not popular and will be difficult to get parts).
2. Try and convert it to as close to a KDX as I can get - the engine has nice compression and the frame is solid.
3. Sell the 200 engine and other usable parts and get some bucks back and scrap the rest.

Would appreciate any advice from people who know KDX's / KMX's.

PS: I do have the metal tank.
PSS: If I go for option 2, anyone out there with KDX parts from the same era that I could try and fit? Main parts I would need at the moment are: airbox, seat, any plastics.

Thanks
