Race Dog
Date: 31/08 - 2/09 The same weekend as the Williston Winterfees.
Place: Kransgat, Diepdrift, Calvinia aka Mof se plaas
GPS: 31°34'39.52"S ; 20°21'18.55"E
Directions: Calvinia - R27/R63 towards Williston for 48km, turn right towards Middelpos for 14km. From Williston take R63 towards Calvinia for about 64km (check milestones, 49km from Calvinia), turn left towards Middelpos and go 14km. From Middelpos go 20km towards Calvinia, turn soft right (not sharp right on Bonekraal road), go another 20km.
Directions will take you to Diepdrift farmyard (31°34'00.00 S ; 20°17'20.00 E), there will be markers and/or guides from there. Follow the bright green route on the attached map.
No cell reception on the farm, so leave a message with your name place and time on 027 3412279 from the last town when you leave so we can look out for you.
Facilities: Longdrop, cold water and wood. No seriously, f'all else!
Food and drink: Braai Friday night, spit Saturday night, coffee and leftovers for the breakfasts. Saturday lunch you sort yourself, we'll sort something small for those staying in basecamp. There will be a very basic bar incl ice and mix.
Cost: R200 (cash on site preferable)
Bring: Everything apart from food and drink (but you can bring that as well if you want).
