KTM 950 Adv Brake Fluid

I am a bit confused here. Want to replace the brake fluid in my bike. On the brake reservoir cover (front and back) it clearly states that I must use Dot 4 fluid. In the manual it says to use Dot 5.1. The bike is a 2005 950 Adv S. So which one do I use?
