I noticed oil on my engine after Sundays ride.
On the ride the oil pressure warning light came on.
I checked the oil level. It was okay, but I added oil anyway.
Oil light stayed on.
I drove slowly for 5 minutes. The oil light flickered then went off.
If I ideled the bike, the pressure light came on again. When I rode again it went off.
This evening I removed the tanks and had a look the engine.
No oil on the outside of the engine higher than the oil pressure sensor. Lots of oil below to both sides of the engine, but that might be due to airflow.
I'm reckoning the Oil Pressure Sensor might be loose, however I do'nt have any spanner bigger than a 17.
Can anybody give me the correct size of this bolt, as I need to go buy one.
Does anybody know of a similar situation with oil on the lower part of the engine covers, and what the fix was.
