KTM 990 Freeflow silencer , do you need to remap FI ?

If I fit a aftermarket silencer to a KTM 990 do I need to get the FI remapped ?
What happens to the mixture ? The way I understand it is the mixture will lean out a bit , is this correct?
If the FI is not remapped will any damage result ?
