I did a little research into another gorge not far from the Msilili falls/gorge in the Harburg area of the German speaking part of KZN.
I made a few calls and spoke to the nice man who owns the farm and caravan park that borders the head of the gorge on the Mqeku river, which is one of the bigger tributaries of the Mgeni river, about a visit to the gorge.
Bikes are not normally allowed in the Caravan park - it is a conservation area - but I told him we are responsible guys, and since the park will be empty on Sun he says we can visit as day visitors at a cost of R10 per person.
He says there is a map of the roads on the farm to the various gorge viewsites in the Caravan Park ablution block.

The caravan park is about 100m from the waterfall on the left in the pic.
So I am sinking zat Sunday vil be zee gud day to visit ze Cherman part of ze Country - Harturg, New Hanover, Wartburg und Schroeders. Mainly tar, but a bit of farm riding.
Und ze vezzer looks gud on Sunday.
Anyone feel like spending R10 and possibly a beer in New Hanover?
