Some opinions please...
The section of N1 between Beyers Naude and Rivonia is hectic in peak hour (both ways). Many bikes use the right hand emergency lane, of which I am one.
I use the lane at about 20km/h faster than the traffic which I feel is safe, at least safer than lane splitting between the fast and middle lane.
This morning some oke on a GS 1200 is hooting, gesticulating and making mad in head signs about me and another super bike in the emergency lane.
What is the general consensus, is the emergency lane used at responsible speed safer than than lane splitting?
To the oke on the GS, if you have an opinion, rather stop me and discuss, not make rude gestures then speed up to 140.
Comments please.
