So, this morning after 10 I jumped the TR (Tomb Raider) and just choose a direction and gave gas!
Just a short route description with some piccies:
From Grotto all the way by R27 , filled up at Engen, then turned off to St Helena, back via Velddrift, Dwarskersbos and into Elandsbaai.
Got a Steering damper (Windhoek) for R10 at the hapteek there, then wanted to go to Oasis but decided since Ive been there a few times, Id rather take my wife along sometime soon.
So towards Redelinghuys, then to Aurora and onto the Hopefield road, it was about 10km or so before Hopefield near teh silos where the vlei was lekker flooded, not deep but just enough to get me lekker wet as I decided to get down and take some pics.
From Hopefield, shortcut to Darling next to the treinspoor.
Darling via Grootte Post back home.
It was such a lovely ride, the roads are great, not too wet or to dry, some tracks here and there, sand here and there but it was nice and firm.
All and all it was a truly confidence inspired ride as I saw some leker speeds on the speedo and the adrenaline rush cleared my veins again! Me and the TR did about 390km between 10 and 4, it was awesome! :thumleft:
The scenerey was spectacular, clean and crisp chilly air with the blue mountains beckoning me from afar to come hither!
That will be nextime, soon . . .
