Hi all. During our ride through Lesotho this weekend we ran into some trouble with border control, so I thought it would be good to share the story here as a warning to others.

We went in at Monantsa pass, signing out of SA as per usual. However, we never even saw the Lesotho border control, and thus we never signed in. Aparently they are somewhere and you have to go and look for them to have yourself stamped into Lesotho - otherwise you are there illegaly.

When we tried to get out of Lesotho at the next border control, it took a helluva lot of sweet talking from JohnST to get us out of there. (Thanks John, it was much appreciated). I won't tell you what some others did
Ok so the lesson is, if you enter at Monantsa, find out where the border control is and have your passport stamped. It was not nice being threatened with arrest at the exit border.
