Race Dog
A few months ago I baught a pair of soft pannier bags from a fellow Dog here on the forum.
With no way of mounting them on my bike I did some Googling and after looking at numerous different options the gears started turning in my head on how to manufacture pannier racks of my own.
Went out and baught some nuts and bolts and a couple of lengths of flatbar and put them away in my shed for a few months. After all procrastination is king.[emoji85]
After reading a couple of RR's from other Dogs during the week I decided to get my ass in gear if I wanted to do some touring of my own this coming December holiday.
This morning I decided to get all the material and neccessary tools together and start fabricating. I measured a bit and realized my original idea wasn't going to work and I was going to have to make things up as I go along.
After changing things around a couple of times I was finally satisfied with the outcome and after grinding the welds out and polishing everything up to avoid pressure points on the luggage bags this is the final product.
Still needs paint, but that can wait till tomorrow.
Now for some rest and some beer.[emoji41]
