Well it was an early start for myself and Lootch heading away from Essex around 7:50 Sunday morning. Could feel the winter is rapidly aproaching and did at one point wonder if it's worth while getting out of my warm bed.

We stopped about 30 miles away from Amesbury with numb bum taking it's toll.

After a quick cup of coffee we headed off to the plains and an early water start awaited us, Lootch coming through :D

Miles and miles of gravel, this is the 3rd time I went to the plains and every time I ride new roads!

This was shortly after I came off in a very small unsuspecting road, alot of warning signs and we missed the ones which said out of bounds untill the ranger told us £30 fine or make your way out of here

Thanks guys hope we can make another day of it soon even with winter aproaching!

apart from the water, its really lekker pleasant there.... and obviously lots of it too
tks man

The plains is massive and not sure how much area it would cover but every time we go we spend about 1/2 day there and hardly backtrack on roads we have done earlier. I think most I have done in a day riding around was 86 miles  Keep in mind this does not sound like lots but traveling at slow speeds and negiotiating mud and water it can feel like you have done a 1000 miles :?

Myself and Lootch is looking to do the west to east offroad rally this year. You start in Wales and then ride across england offroad. Should be interesting because most of the bikes is 500cc and smaller :D

Hehe. Don't sweat it. On our Canal/Klip trip (my first real offroad exp. with lots off mud), we had a +- 4 km section which took us around 1 1/2 hours to get through! A planned four hour trip ended up in a 7 1/2 trip with the second half all the way tar to home. And I left early.

I must admit, I grew up in Wales negotiating the mud, but the canals! I think they bought that clay from Castrol, Africa may be GS country but I am not sure about the canals. Was still great fun and I didn,t put the Black one down!
6ft 3 and a half, can flat foot a HP2 easily, but those oranje and blue 950S,s stir the loins.

I'm still 2 minded abut that green screen

Cool pics thanks :thumbleft:
