It is important when you have aged, sick or frail parents, or family members or friends that cannot manage their own medical aid affairs any longer.
Most of us are now aware of the POPI Act that officially came into being recently. This prevents Medical Schemes from imparting any information to anyone, except those whose lives are listed on the membership.

Once we have 3rd party consent,  the benefit is that it gives us access to obtain all the required authorisations, statements and information we need to assist in obtaining the care that your incapacitated loved ones will need.

This is why it is so important to have this done when the sick party is still lucid enough to do so.
